We held
our first Pot Luck at our April General
membership meeting during our TTouch
Workshop. Marji McCormick organized
the food and it was wonderful, we had many
great dishes from the members, the decorations and
balloons from Joyce Bustrum and Luis
Espinosa made for a festive night and the
room was packed. Gary Beebower set up
a raffle area and we raffled off many
wonderful things. This was such a
success we will make this an annual
Valentine's Pot Luck Meeting. Look for
exciting new topics for each of our upcoming
general meetings.
Sue Brusso

demonstrated many TTouch methods for us on
our willing participants.
TTouch - the
Tellington TTouch - is a method based on circular movements of the
fingers and hands all over the body. The intent of the TTouch
is to activate the function of the cells and awaken cellular
intelligence - a little like "turning on the electric lights of the
body."
The Tellington TTouch can help in cases of:
- Excessive Barking & Chewing
- Leash Pulling
- Jumping Up
- Aggressive Behavior |

- Extreme Fear & Shyness
- Resistance to Grooming
- Excitability & Nervousness
- Car Sickness |
 |
 |
|
Using a
combination of specific touches, lifts, and
movement exercises, TTouch helps to release
tension and increase body awareness. This
allows the animal to be handled without
provoking typical fear responses. The animal
can then more easily learn new and more
appropriate behaviors. By using the TTouch
and a variety of other tools, like the
Confidence Course, you can assist the animal
in experiencing self-confidence in
previously frightening situations. Even the
most difficult problems are often
eliminated. You can also learn how to apply
the Tellington TTouch to assist with
recovery from illness or injury, or just
enhance the quality of your animal's life. |

Health Clinic Report
The CKCSCSC Held its first Heart
and Eye Clinic in Pasadena at
the office of Dr. Dana Bleifer.
Dr. Sarah Zimmerman from
Advanced Veterinary Care Center
checked 61 Hearts for us, and
Dr. Marilyn Twitchell saw 51
Cavaliers for their eye exams.
The clinic was a great success,
and well attended thanks to Rita
Rudkin's many hours of
scheduling the 101 appointments
for us in advance, and she kept
things moving the day of
the clinic. |

and
her owner Sandra Harrison |

The clinic was attended by many
cavaliers and a few other breeds
including Great Danes, Cockers
etc. The morning started
off with sweets and Jennifer
Espinosa made sure the food kept
coming with the sandwich tray
for everyone at the clinic.
We were well fed and everyone
had a great time. We look
forward to planning another
clinic in the future. |
